This utility software allows users to manage their security devices and configure them to their preference. It also allows you to set up alarms for various events that you want to track. What is Dahua SmartPSS?

Dahua SmartPSS allows users to integrate all of their Dahua network cameras and storage devices into one convenient app. With this, you can configure the setting of each device without installing different applications. Installing the app is easy and straightforward. It only requires your attention when selecting the components you want to install. However, note that the app requires an NVR tool as this allows you to define the password that you need for accessing the app.

The app is easy to use and intuitive but it does look a bit rugged. There are two tabs, the Home tab, and the Add tab. The Add tab allows you to add devices to the program, supporting up to 256 devices. Adding one entails specifying a few details, such as the name, IP, SN or domain name, and credentials. Once you completed adding the device, you can then manage its parameters in the Home tab.

Dahua SmartPSS provides efficient device management services. Using the app, you can perform various tasks, including video monitoring, setting up a video wall, and configuring alarm and device analytics. However, the highlight of the program is its capability of setting up alerts for various events. You can set up alerts for suspicious activities, such as video loss, camera masking, among others. Moreover, the app includes real-time target detection for moving objects, such as vehicles and pedestrians.
